Join the National Day of Prayer Task Force and prayer ministry leaders for the Pray for Hope Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. In partnership with the Center for Holy Lands Studies and the Global Prayer Initiative, the National Day of Prayer Task Force invites you to immerse yourself in the three-dimensional world of the Bible as a backdrop to a historical time of prayer for the poor and suffering around the world. This trip will include tours of the holy land (such as Capernaum, Galilee, Mt. Carmel, and Nazareth) and special gatherings that will culminate on 12.12.12 for a Live Televised event from Jerusalem.
Program Emphasis:
Our programs to Israel focus on the land and lives of Old Testament and New Testament personalities. Emphasis is placed on the various contexts of the Bible: historical, geographical, linguistic, religious, and cultural. As we encounter the land and the biblical text within its geographical, historical, and cultural contexts, we utilize this three-dimensional experience with the Bible as the foundation for our devotional experience. In addition to formal lecture times, numerous discussions will take place during travel times while on the bus and at various sites.
