State Events
We invite you to join us for our observance of the 2025 National Day of Prayer. You may stop by any time after 8:00am for a brief time of prayer, or you may stay until our Day concludes at 6:00pm. Suggestions, topics, and opportunities for prayer will be provided. You will also be encouraged to share your own prayer requests if you so choose. This Day of Prayer is open to all who wish to attend, members as well as those who simply want to participate. All are welcome to come and pray!

This will be our 16th year celebrating the National Day of Prayer in Denton, Texas. Our celebration takes place at the Denton County Administrative Courthouse Amphitheater. We have a time of praise and worship in a pre-service with our program beginning at Noon.
Powerful prayers will be offered over the areas of influence as our pastors, community leaders, local, state, and national political representatives, first responders, business leaders, and youth gather in one accord to pray for our Country.
We have the event come rain or shine. In the case of rain, we will move into the courthouse and offer our prayers at the seat of the highest court in Denton County.

This gathering will be an opportunity for the church of the city to gather together to pray for local, state and national issues. The "Concert of Prayer" format, directed by Pray Lubbock, will allow attendees to join with others in small groups and pray as we are all guided into various needs for prayer. Individuals should come ready to pray, not merely ready to listen to leaders' prayers. We gather knowing prayer isn't just about the work, it IS the work of the Kingdom. Come ready to work! The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will host the 2025 Community Prayer Luncheon, presented by Lubbock Christian University, on Thursday, May 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the newly renovated Knipling Education Conference Center (KECC) at Covenant Medical Center. The venue, located on the sixth floor of the West Parking Garage at 21st Street and Louisville Avenue, offers stunning views of Lubbock and serves as a premier gathering space for community events.
Held in observance of the National Day of Prayer, the Community Prayer Luncheon unites local leaders, businesses, organizations and churches in a shared moment of faith and reflection.
This year's event will feature top 10 Billboard charting Christian singer-songwriter, Josh Wilson.
Since signing with Sparrow Records in 2006, Wilson has become a household name in contemporary Christian music, earning multiple Top 10 Billboard hits and sharing the stage with Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, and Casting Crowns. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Wilson is known for his dynamic live performances, often looping and layering up to 20 instruments on stage.

This year's Prayer Event is outdoors in downtown Winnsboro at The Bowery, on Market Street. If it rains, we'll move it to the Jack Cross Pavilion at the City Park.
We have the 4th thru 6th grade choir for our opening. They'll sing the Nation Anthem and one or two more songs.
We also will erect Prayer Tents this year. Each tent will be themed to cover one of the focused areas of prayer: Business, Church, Government, Education, Family, Military, and Media/Arts/ Entertainment. All participants are welcome to stay after the MAIN EVENT to pray in private, in one or all of the areas of focused prayer.
